Brad Moorhead

Bio

Coach Brad Moorhead is entering his second season as head coach of the South Dearborn Knights. In his first season, Moorhead led the Knights to an 18–6 record, marking the program’s highest win total since 1985, while also capturing the Rivertown Classic championship.

Prior to returning to South Dearborn, Moorhead spent one season as the junior varsity coach at Martinsville High School and eight years as an assistant coach at Edgewood High School in Indiana, where he helped develop competitive, disciplined programs.

Moorhead is a 2016 graduate of Indiana University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Applied Health Science with a focus in Secondary Health Education. He is also a 2012 graduate of South Dearborn High School, where he was the Valedictorian of his class.

Basketball runs deep in the Moorhead family, as Brad is a third-generation Indiana high school coach. His grandfather, Gus Moorhead, is a member of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame and coached at Versailles High School. His father previously served as head coach at South Dearborn, and his brother is currently the head coach at Center Grove High School.
